Department of Physiology, Pharmacology & Pharmacognacy

This Physiology department involves study of various systems of the body which includes various charts organ models, specimens, permanent slides and pathophysiological testing of blood.

Pharmacology involves the study and description of the drugs and their effect on whole body system. Practical aspects of pharmacological screening for various medicinal agents using the animal model.

Pharmacognosy is one of the branch of pharmacy as well as a medical science which is originated from ancient science. Pharmacognosy is broadly covers the scientific and systematic study of structural, physical, chemical and biological characteristics of crude drugs. It also deals with their history, method of cultivation, collection and preparation of crude drugs for the market which is obtained from natural, animal and mineral sources.

Salient Features of Department

The Department has spacious working place. Each laboratory of department is well equipped instruments and facilitated with chemicals, glassware's, equipments and lab-wares.

• The study of physiology includes skeletal system, models, specimens and pathophysiological study.
• Student can access the computer, MSBTE experimental CD , You tube videos with the help of Projector during the practical session.
• The study of crude drugs along with morphological and microscopical evaluation.
• Practical’s and/or assignments are carried out according to the academic schedule and enough time is available with student to peruse the knowledge.
• Adequate Faculty members are available.
