Department of Model Pharmacy

Model pharmacy is a Community-based pharmacist whose responsibilities include: checking and dispensing of prescription drugs, providing advice on drug selection and usage to doctors and other health professionals and counseling patients in health promotion, disease prevention, and the proper use of medicines.

This department allows a students to perform a practicals related to detail study of Prescription and their different parts, Dispensing of prescription and OTC drug, Demonstration on the patient counselling and provide advice on different minor ailments and selection of drug, disease prevention and also study of different labelling requirements.

Salient Features of Department

• The Department has spacious working place. It consist of display of all auxillary labelling instruction for patients.
• Each laboratory of department is well equipped instruments and facilitated health screening devices required for pharmacist in emergency.
• Adequate Faculty members are available.
• Practicals are carried out as per Academic schedule and and enough time is available with student to peruse the knowledge.
